So I upgraded to windows 10 last night and booted up my computer today and no sound would play through my headphones, just the speakers. I clicked the speaker icon in the bottom right corner and it said it was playing trough the Corsair H1500 Headset but nothing plays through them at all.

I purchased a new USB headset and when I plugged in for 1st time it worked properly, I could able to hear sound from you tube. And mic was also working properly. I unplugged the headset and plugged in after a while, head set is not working. I am able to hear anything except sound like buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Please help me out to fix this problem. If your desktop computer came with USB ports on the front of the computer and they do not work, a cable inside the computer may have become unplugged. First, make sure that the USB ports at the rear of the computer work by plugging in a USB device into the rear port.
They're plugged in through USB and I know the USB slot works and the headphones still work because I used my headphones right before I upgraded. Also if it's any help, on skype when I try to call someone it says 'Problem with playback device.' Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!. I was actually just having the same problem myself, and after a little research I was able to fix it (at least on my end)You will need to go to you sound settings and choose your default audio. Most likely it will simply be the first choice and say speakers or in this case your headphones.Right-click and select properties than, select the advanced tab. From the drop down list choose a different default format. In some cases a lower or higher format might work for you depending on the audio driver, so make sure to try all of them to see if it works or not.If this method does not work you may need to disable your driver audio enhancements.

In the same window choose enhancements and simply check the box that says 'disable all enhancements' after which click apply and exit out of the windows. Now test the sound. The audio should be working.Of course make sure to update any drivers and make sure they are currently up to date. If this is the case it also couldn't hurt doing a quick uninstall of the drivers and reinstalling them as well. You can do this by using the device manager. If this doesn't work, you may want to try to roll back the driver for your headphones.Right click the sound icon on the bottom right corner of the taskbar and select 'Playback devices'.Rightclick 'Headphone' and select 'Properties'.In the General tab, you should see a section labeled 'Controller Information'.
Click the 'Properties' button.A new box with some driver information should pop up. Click the 'Change Settings' button under the General tab.Switch to the Driver tab and click 'Roll Back Driver'.Hopefully this does the trick. Also make sure that your headphone is set to the Default in the Sound window. This is also another option, however if the user has completed a clean installation of windows 10 the issue should not be occurring. I believe the drivers are 'pulled' from the previous OS and can be manually or automatically checked. If the drivers were not having a problem on Windows 7 for example than they should not be having a problem on Windows 10. Than again of course since it is a new build rolling back the drivers to a previous state might make a difference. From what I have seen so far it is indeed an on going problem with some users who installed Windows 10.
Descargar licensia gratis ultra iso. So, it defiantly seems to be related to the actual OS and how it handles audio drivers and equipment. Hopefully a patch will come out soon for these excepted bugs.
Another suggestion I would like to make as in another old trick. If your headphones are still having problem. Power down your PC either laptop or desktop and make sure that the battery or AC is disconnected from the machine. Than hold down the power button for 30 seconds. In some cases there is still electricity running through the machine either from the actual power supply or a static charge.

By holding it down you are removing that from the actual machine.Plug in the AC or battery and reboot and see if this fixes the headphone problems as well.
