@23:55iTunes and Ccleaner just literally went missing after I did an update for Windows 10 about an hour ago. There's no short-cuts on the desktop for these programmes now. They are gone from the start menu too.Ccleaner and all its files have completely vanished.Some Apple stuff like bonjour and Apple software updates etc remains, but there is no functional iTunes. All the music settings have reverted to something called 'Groove'. The internet browser reverted back to Edge and Cortana has now been switched on, wherepreviously it was switched off.All my restore points have vanished too.I suppose I will just have to hope that no personal data has just been zapped away too????Now my whole evening has been ruined. If not perhaps my whole computer????What has happened?

If the maximum storage size limit is set to low for your shadow storage.2. You manually disable system restore3. Thanks for your reply.Yes I checked in the control panel, as well as by using file explorer.It would help if you read and then comprehend what I have written, rather than cutting and pasting useless and frustrating, inapplicable info!All I did was allow a re-start to happen for Windows updates. When the computer re-started, there were entire programmes and files etc missing. Parts of iTunes disappeared too, thereby rendering iTunes inoperative.

All my restore points were gone too. Ihave just spent the last 6 hours trying my best to fix this mess.Microsoft says that its updates don't affect customers' files.

There is some comfort knowing that neither you nor I were alone with this odd problem.I had to un-install the the remaining Apple software components and do a fresh install of iTunes. I also downloaded Ccleaner again.My system is currently stable, it was just a huge chunk of time that it took for me to get it back to where it was before I allowed the Microsoft update requiring a re-start to happen.Anyway we move forward:)What a pity that the Microsoft Support Engineer was only a 'cut and paste' operative.
