Jedi Academy Multiplayer Mods
Page Tools.Multiplayer Free For All/Team FFAVjun Sentinel This multi-floored level features a central pit that's great for Jedi battles. Make sure you have Force Push and Pull maxed for this level, as well as Force Jump. Then push, pull or drag your opponents into the pit.
That same multiplayer goodness was further bolstered by Jedi Academy’s robust mod support on PC, support which fans put to very good use. Some mods went in obvious directions like adding in maps and characters from earlier Jedi Knight games. Other mods were much more ambitious.

If other weapons are your bag, nothing beats the Flechette for up-close fragging.Korriban Tombs If you're a card-carrying camper, grab the Disruptor from the bridge near the top of the level, and hang out on the high ledge that looks down on the courtyard below. You know the rest.
Force Pushing weaklings off of the many bridges in the level is also mighty fulfilling.Tatooine City Ahhh. Scum and villainy. A good blaster is nice, but the Thermal Detonators and Disruptor are good that like to deal death from above. Make sure you have a Flechette handy for the trek to the upper reaches of the level, though some of the hallways can get pretty crowded.Rift Sanctuary This is a wide-open, circular, and fairly flat map. As a result, a weapon like the Heavy Repeater is to good to have by your side as you run, and your trusty saber will be handy when charging into the raging fray. Stay on the move constantly, and watch out for bottomless holes in parts of the map.Taspir Here's another chuck-and-huck level. Is there anything better than Force Pushing a chump into a bubbling lake of lava?
- Drop one of the.pk3s into your Jedi Academy/Gamedata/base folder and fire up the game. This mod works with both singleplayer and multiplayer. Only use one of the variants at a time, though - don't use both 1.5 and 3.1 - to avoid problems.
- This is the official patch for Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. It updates the game from version 1.0 to 1.01. Changelog: Global Fixed dynamic glow performance for new ATI drivers (if you are experiencing low framerate, go into Setup - More Video and change dynamic glow to off).
The majority of the good times take place outside, on the crisscrossing walkways, so make sure your Force Jump is pimped out. There are some high places if you're looking to camp, but that's less fun than hopping all over the various platforms. If you prefer run and gun, grab the Heavy Repeater on the central platter and start a ruckus.Duel/Power DuelBespin Courtyard A two-level map, the Courtyard has no real distinguishing characteristics. This is as straightforward as they come. Just go toe-to-toe.Generator Room The Generator Room resembles the final dueling place in Episode One. This map always becomes about trying to knock your opponent into the large circular shaft at the center of the level.
Try to stay away from the hole as much as possible or at least try to keep your opponent between you and the pit.Imperial Shaft If only they would make a Richard Roundtree movie called Imperial Shaft. There's considerably more open space in this map and a lot more bottomless pit below. As with the Generator Room, this is all about knocking your opponent over the edge. Elevators exist at each end of the top bridge if you need to get up there quick. Try to hold your own on the top as it's the deadliest position.Imperial Control Room Apart from the panoramic view, this map is about as simple as the Bespin Courtyard. Despite all your rage, you're still just a Jedi in a cage.Taspir Landing Quite a bit bigger than most of the dueling maps, this one not only comprises the Landing, but the walkways around it as well. If you're battling on the landing, the idea it to 'ring out' your opponent into the lava below.
Or, you can lure your foe onto the bridge and try to topple him/her. If you excel at straight-up saberplay, stick to the center of the main landing.Yavin Training Area The Academy's training pitch is also quite vast, and affords a lot of room to roam and hide. If you need to stop and heal, there are plenty of organic nooks and crannies to find and if you just want to run, there is plenty of ground below the hobbled walkways.Rancor Pit Don't worry the rancor isn't on the loose. In fact, the only thing on the prowl here is your extreme Jedi skill. Use the statue platforms in the back room to gain a height advantage. Keep your opponent from reaching you by pushing if he/she jumps, then plan your attack from on high.Abandoned City This is another stand and deliver sort of level. Try to fight in the center of the arena, as the half-pillars look cool when you saw into them with a saber.
Otherwise, standard Jedi procedures apply.Hoth Canyon Quickly make your way over to the tiny ledge near the icy canyon and wait. As your opponent(s) approaches, push him/her into the abyss. If you don't want to mess with the Force, stick to the upper cliffs and saber it up.Vjun Fuel Processing Alright, so it kind of looks like you're reprising the fight with Vader from Empire. But that's all this circular level has going for it unless you like simple lightsaber combat.SiegeHoth Attack Being the Imperials is so much more fun here, as the goal is assault, rather than protection.Playing as the Rebels means holding down the fort, as they did unsuccessfully at the beginning of Empire.Desert Rescue This one is Rebels vs.
Playing as the Rebels is a rescue operation to retrieve a protocol droid. It's probably most fun to play as Heavy Weapons, because you basically get to be Chewie and shoot stuff a lot of stuff. As the Mercs, it's once again a protection mission, which is a lot more difficult. However, there is the added bonus of being Boba Fett. Although his weapons aren't great, he has a jetpack.
That's all we need to say.Korriban Valley Which side will you be on the Light or Dark? This plays out a lot like missions late in the game, and it involves all kinds of flavors of Jedi. As the Light Side, you want to get to the sarcophagus of Ragnos and destroy it.As the Dark Jedi, the goal is to prevent this from happening. Again, as a defense mission only, this one is a little harder.Capture the FlagImperial Drop Zone The perfect capture the flag level, this one has you holding down high, shiny places that are tough to defend. Ride the various express elevators consistently, and use the Disruptors to keep your team colors flying.Hoth Wasteland Can you say, 'man the turrets?'
Cause I sure can. One of the many joys of this map is the fact that you can get behind a laser cannon and hold down your chunk of the map this way. The indoor/outdoor action makes this one of the coolest (pardon the pun) multiplayer maps. Come for the snow stay for the Heavy Repeater.Yavin Hilltops Put on your platform-jumping shoes and be prepared to defend a lot of space, because much of this level is wide-open and dangerous. In addition to narrow bridges over bottomless abysses, and treacherously-placed flags, there are some nice weapons to be had, including the handy rocket launcher.Coruscant Streets Reminiscent of the chase through the streets at the beginning of Episode Two, the Streets level features more multi-tiered, barely connected platforms, and tough-to-defend multiple entry points to each flag area. Scan the crisscrossing walkways to find goodies like trip mines, and protect your flag with them.Factory A camper's paradise, this level affords for a lot of hiding and shooting.
The corridors are narrow, and the rooms are full of machinery. Make sure you grab some good close-range guns for your journeys to and fro, and guard your flags with trip mines, which can be found near each base.
